Alexandra Bowes, who studied art at UC Berkeley, has been painting for several decades and maintains a studio next to her Sonoma home. Her work is abstract and small in scale. In her work, nuances of shape, line, and composition create dynamic situations that aliven our seeing. Her imagery is simultaneously personal and universal, informal and precise, Romantic and Minimal.
